General information

The Committee of Water Treatment and Reuse, Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES) was founded in October 2015. It devotes to promoting research and innovative development on water treatment and reuse theories, technologies, engineering, standards and management; bringing together networks for professionals from the academia and industry, cultivating talented individuals; and undertaking scientific knowledge education and propagation activities. These can contribute to water reuse development, water resource sustainable utilization, water environment safety guarantee and ecological civilization construction.

The slogan of the committee is “One Water, Beyond Water”.

The 4th National Conference on Water Treatment and Reuse of China Enter

The vision of the WTR committee is to promote research and innovative development on water treatment and reuse theories, technologies, engineering, standards and management. The WTR committee has organized the National Conference on Water Treatment and Reuse of China (ChinaWTR) annually since 2017.

The conference topics include cutting-edge scientific achievements and key technologies on water treatment and reuse. The conference could provide a high-level communication platform for scholars and engineers from both national and international.

The conference is highly appraised by experts and scholars nationwide and overseas including France, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, U.S. and Sri Lanka.


Water and Development Talk(WaterTalk) more 》

To promote communication in water treatment and reuse field, the committee has organized the Water Treatment and Reuse Talk (WaterTalk) from 2020. As a series of forums, one or two guests will be invited in each issue. The conferences have provided good platforms for discussing the important topics in the field of water treatment and reuse.

The Asian Symposium on Water Reuse(AsiaSWR) more 》

Launched by Tsinghua University, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and Kyoto University, the Asian Symposium on Water Reuse (ASWR) is to provide a unique platform for local communications, and also broaden concepts, ideas and models for water reuse globally. The symposium will be held once a year, and will be organized and chaired among the three organizations in turn.

The Global Symposium on Water Cycle (GlobalSWC)more 》

The Global Symposium on Water Cycle (GlobalSWC) is launched to provide a unique platform for discussion of the current advances relating to the development of a sustainable, multifaceted and multi-level water cycle system. In GlobalSWC, you will meet and interact with the most influential minds in the water community, share and exchange ideas and information with water experts worldwide, and network with peer water academics, engineers, and practitioners globally.
